Quickly attach an Anchor, Starfish, or Crab charm to your Waterproof Jellies harness. Simple steps, no tools needed, and a secure fit every time.
Quick answer
Slide the charm’s split ring onto any D-ring or loop on your Waterproof Jellies harness—no tools needed. For a secure fit, close the ring fully with your thumbnail.
Why charms fit so easily on a Waterproof Jellies harness
Waterproof Jellies harnesses come with sturdy, accessible D-rings on the back and chest straps. Those rings are designed for leash clips, but they also accept the split ring on every charm we sell — Anchor, Crab, and Starfish. No adapter or extra hardware is required.
Which charm to choose for your dog’s size
The Anchor Charm (13 mm) and Starfish Charm (15 mm) are petite — ideal for small to medium dogs or when you want a subtle accent. The Crab Charm is slightly larger at 20 mm, so it shows up better on a broad harness back. All three are lightweight enamel on metal, so they won’t weigh down the harness or bother your dog.
How to attach a charm in three steps
- Step 1: Locate the split ring opening: Hold the charm so the split ring faces you. Find the tiny gap where the two ends of the ring meet. Use your thumbnail to pry the ends apart slightly — just enough to slip over the harness D-ring. Don’t force the ring open wider than needed; it can lose its tension.
- Step 2: Slide the ring onto the D-ring: Place the opened split ring against the D-ring on your Waterproof Jellies harness. Gently push the ring so the D-ring slides through the gap. Work the ring around until it sits fully on the D-ring. Check that the ring is not twisted — a twisted ring can pop off during play.
- Step 3: Close the split ring completely: Press the two ends of the split ring together with your thumb and forefinger until you hear or feel a small click. Run your finger around the ring to confirm no gap remains. A partially open ring can snag on leash clips or brush against your dog’s fur. Double-check before heading out.
Charms mentioned in this guide
- Anchor Charm: Anchor Charm: 13 mm pearl blue enamel on gold-toned copper base, smooth finish. Its compact size and smooth edges make it a safe, low-profile choice for dogs who rub against furniture or roll in grass.

Anchor Charm - Starfish Charm: Starfish Charm: 15 mm white enamel on gold-toned stainless steel, our most petite charm. The stainless steel base resists tarnish, so it stays bright even after wet walks or a splash at the beach.

Starfish Charm - Crab Charm: Crab Charm: 20 mm vibrant orange enamel on alloy, cheerful seaside accent. Its larger size and bright color make it easy to spot on a dark harness — perfect for visibility without adding bulk.
